Communigrow is a sustainable food education charity located in East Malling, Kent. As a charity that uses gardening and horticulture to help people reconnect with nature, it operates on a 2.4 acre site.
“The grant received was used to provide two new strimmers, which have had a number of great benefits – we can reduce our fossil fuel reliance (making use of the solar energy we are now harvesting on site), reduce costs of purchasing expensive diesel, and make it easier and safer for the volunteers to use. We can now also open up more training opportunities for adults with disabilities as these are lightweight version strimmers. Thank you so much for this award, it really has made a difference to our charity.”
