Care for the Carers is recognised in East Sussex as the leading organisation supporting unpaid carers in the county. The Hendy Foundation grant is for wellbeing packs for young carers aged from five to 17 years old and the charity provides support before these youngsters reach crisis point. The aim is to help these carers with their physical and mental wellbeing and to combat isolation.
